Cookie Policy
Cookies are small files your browser stores for a site. The macro calculator itself sets no cookies and writes nothing to browser storage. Cookies on this site come from our hosting and security software and from third-party analytics and advertising services.
This page lists each category so you can decide what to allow. The privacy policy explains the data behind them.
Cookie Categories
| Category | Set by | Purpose | Needed to use the calculator |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Our host, caching and security software | Page caching, load performance and protection against abuse | Not for the calculator, but used on every page |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit | Counts visits and shows which pages are used | No |
| Advertising | Google AdSense and its ad partners | Serves and measures ads, and personalises them where you allow it | No |
Names and lifetimes of third-party cookies are set by the providers and change over time, so we do not list them here. Each provider's own documentation is the authority.
Consent
Analytics and advertising cookies are optional. Where the law requires consent, for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, a consent message lets you accept or refuse them, and you can reopen that choice later. If no message appears for your location, you can still use the controls below.
How to Block or Delete Cookies
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies for macroscalc.net in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, and the calculator keeps working
- Google Ads Settings: turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com
- Industry opt-out: manage many ad vendors at optout.aboutads.info
- Google Analytics: install the opt-out browser add-on
Blocking advertising cookies does not remove ads. It makes them less relevant to you.
